Ask us anythingCurious people of all genders and occupations: designers, developers, doctors, teachers, founders, freelancers, students, etc. The one thing everyone has in common is that they showed up as they are, hoping to meet someone interesting or just have a good conversation - something we forgot that connected us all since the invention of fire.
We have dinner, coffee and board game events that are currently taking place in Cluj, Romania (except board games) and in Chișinău (Moldova).
You can buy a one time ticket, a pack of 3-5 tickets or a subscription. Our fee is for the group matching and for the logistic to meet the other people at the venue. At the venue (restaurant or coffee shop) everyone pays at the restaurant directly for what they order. We usually try to pick classy, but affordable restaurants.
When you decide to join an event (dinner, coffee meet or board game) you can choose the languages you speak and besides the personality and interests we match people according to the languages that they speak. So, selecting more languages improves the chances to meet with new people.
With the “bring +1” feature, you can. The +1 does not have to register the app - you can add them at the event that you are joining. You will be responsible to buy a ticket for the +1, share the venue with the +1 and also make sure that the community guidelines are respected by the +1. You cannot offer a ticket from your pack of tickets to the +1.
That's understandable. Although our friends don't believe us - we're also introverts, and we know how terrifying it can be to meet one stranger over dinner. But five strangers? Well, it's actually easier, because the spotlight isn't on you all the time, it's shared between everyone. With that said, introverts do great at our dinners. It's a small, relaxed atmosphere, where you can be exactly who you are and nothing more.
For the dinner and the board game events you will discover the restaurant and group info 24h before the event. You get the restaurant address, the names of your table mates, and a couple of things you all have in common to break the ice. And for the coffee meetings you find out the coffee shop and group info 12h before the event.
We try to make the events gender balanced as much as possible. Some weeks we might get too many people of one gender or another, so the algorithm will do its best to group people based on their personality and not focus so much on gender. Although deeper connections can spark during our dinner, coffee meets, board game events, please note that we are not a dating app. We're here to bring people who click together into a safe space so they could build friendships first.
You can cancel from the Dinner Details page. Remember to cancel or reschedule 24h ahead of the event. Otherwise you'll lose your ticket. No-shows or last-minute cancellations can negatively impact the whole table and we want to discourage that as much as possible. If you want to cancel your +1, you can do that as well - but if you cancel your attendance the +1 attendance will be canceled as well.
Being late 20-30min is better than not showing up at all. After all, it's a working day, we understand. But do let everyone know that you'll be late, so that they could order drinks, food and relax. This can be done from the top card of the Dinner Details, inside the app.
The table is reserved under the one of the founder names "Adrian, Mihai or Daniel". You can check it in the app, before dinner. When you get to the restaurant just mention the name and the staff will guide you to your table.
A few hours before the event a group chat will be active. There you can chat with your group to find yourselves at the restaurant/coffee shop. We recommend to not share personal details in the chat. Also, after the event you have the possibility to join a Whatsapp/Telegram group. You can find it in the app, under Dinner Details. But remember that real connections happen at the table, not through chat bubbles.
You can report inappropriate behavior in the Feedback form after the event. We take inappropriate behaviours very seriously. Check our community guidelines. Repeated offenders will not be allowed to join an event anymore.
